What’s Happening at BHG KC Homes?


CLUB TRIP- There is plenty of time to qualify for the BHG KC Club Trip at SECRETS in Playa Mujeres Oct 25th to Oct 29th, 2015.! You have until June 31st, 2015 to reach the required volume. We currently have 84 agents qualified for the trip.

This event has been instituted for the purpose of further honoring our top producers and to reward them for their superior efforts and achievements.



Produce a total closed sales and listing volume of $4,000,000 or more from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2014.

1. The awards volume on all sales, whether in-house or co-op, will be credited 100% towards qualifying.

2. Rookie of the Year is automatically extended an invitation for the year awarded.


BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS REAL ESTATE KANSAS CITY HOMES will pay a portion of the expenses for the annual trip. Members who have qualified will be assessed a portion of the overall costs, depending upon the destination of the trip. The cost will also depend on the level that each sales associate has attained in the fiscal year. There are several subsidy levels offered by the company based on sales associate’s fiscal year production. These will be introduced and explained at the trip party each year.


Some qualifiers may wish to take a companion on the recognition trip. If so, they must pay the total cost of the companion.

1. A qualified member may take their spouse, family member or significant other.

2. A qualified member may take one guest, but in no event may it be a member of the BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS REAL ESTATE KANSAS CITY HOMES sales or administrative staff (other than a family member) or a competitor in the real estate business. Guests must be 21 years of age or older.

3. Husband and wife team productivity will be figured as follows: Couples may both qualify for the trip individually or combined as long as both sales associates are full-time, active sales associates, licensed with BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS REAL ESTATE KANSAS CITY HOMES.


1. Team leader may go, however, may not assign trip to another sales associate.

2. Team member who earns $90,000 in sales associate earnings (equal to approximately 4 million in volume) or more annually may go, but is not eligible for the company subsidy. If team leader chooses not to go on trip, a qualifying team member may use the subsidy but only one subsidy per team.

3. Partnership—Qualifies using combined volume, with one subsidy per partnership and one attendee. If each partner achieves the 4 million commission level volume individually; each may go, but only one subsidy will be provided.

Want Your Distinctive Collection Listing Featured in the Digital Magazine? –  The Marketing Department is now accepting submissions for the next issue of Distinctive Collection digital magazine.  Distinctive Collection listings in Kansas City are those luxury homes priced at $600K or more.  Send your submission (address, MLS #, and a minimum of five higher resolution photos – one should include the front of the house) to marketing@kansascityhomes.com no later than end of day, Friday, March 13.  The digital magazine will go live no later than Wednesday, April 1.  (Note: If your Distinctive Collection listing is shown in the current e-magazine, just let us know that you’d like to keep it in the magazine.  Simply send us an email with the address/MLS # and let us know 1) re-run with no changes or 2) re-run with the following changes . . . then list any changes.)    

April is National Open House Month – To support the spring selling season, BHG Real Estate is gearing up for another BHGRE National Open House Month in April. To promote this effort, BHG Real Estate will run a national sweepstakes on the BHGRE Facebook page that encourages customers to attend your local open houses. If the open house attendees take a photo of themselves in front of the open house sign, they can enter to win a grand prize of $2500! Request from the Plaza Office-Every year the Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day Parade sponsors the Go For The Green Food Drive in coordination with Harvesters. Better Homes and Gardens Plaza Office was the winner in the Go For The Green Food Drive in 2014.  This year we have some heavy competition.  We challenge each office to go and donate under Better Homes and Gardens to see if we can raise the most meals of any of the Businesses/Organizations that are competing.  Each $1.00 you donate equals three meals.  The plaza office has a wonderful float in the parade with an adorable playhouse that we raffle off.  Each dollar donated under BH&G gets you one chance to win the playhouse.  Buy chances for your clients to win for their children or grandchildren!  Go to kcirishparade.com and click on the link to The Go For The Green Food Drive and select BH&G to donate under. Submit Your Listing to Zillow – If you are interested in submitting your listing to Zillow, you can select your listings for the company to send on your behalf by going to KCHagent.com/Working with Sellers/Zillow Submission.  Please keep in mind: By selecting properties to submit to Zillow, you and your sellers understand that posting listing information and photos to 3rd party aggregator websites may result in unintended consequences.

  • Zillow sells or otherwise re-distributes your listing to other parties as it chooses.
  • Zillow and other parties retain off-market listing data in perpetuity and for any purpose.
  • Prominent position on your listing is sold to other agents for the purpose of lead generation.

Date: Tuesday 3/17  Time: 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. EST-Putting contacts into your CRM is the first step building a sustainable and successful real estate business. Date: Friday 3/27     Time: 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. EST- Your BHGRE Profile Page is where you can create, edit and enhance your BHGRE.com profile as well as your Contact Manager profile. This class will walk you through the steps on how to create and edit both the BHGRE.com and BHGRE Contact Manager profiles.

Leveraging Your BHGRE Contact Manager

Date: Tuesday 3/31        Time: 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. EST- In this class we will discuss the “Contacts” portion of the BHGRE Contact Manager. We will walk through adding and searching and managing contacts, setting up reminders and see how to import LeadRouter leads into the CRM and sync them.


Building Your Business

Tuesday, March 10, 2:00 -3:00 pm EST – Building Your Business: How to Target Market FSBOS- The Spring market is now and you will start to see more properties coming on the market.  Some of those properties will be FSBOs and it is just a matter of time before they will list their home.   This program will provide a better understanding of how to target market FSBOs, how to create conversation, and specific dialogue that will get you the appointment.
